Safety Measures: How to stay Safe

  • Wash your hands with soap under running water before touching anything including your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with tissue when you cough or sneeze, and dispose the tissue off immediately.
  • Disinfect the all objects and surfaces you touch (e.g. Door handles, Tables, etc.).
  • If you are sick, stay home and avoid crowds and contact with others.

Treatment/ Prevention

  • There is no treatment for COVID-19 at the moment.
  • Doctors can relieve symptoms of the COVID-19 by prescribing a pain or fever medication.
  • Drink plenty of fluids
  • Avoid stress as much as you can and get enough rest and sleep.

The National Inspectorate Board (NIB) is reliably informed of the suspension of the conduct of 2020 WASSCE for school candidates by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC). In line with the above directive, the NIB wishes to inform and direct that:

Suspension of school activities due to Covid-19

It has come to the attention of the National Inspectorate Board (NIB) that some private pre-tertiary schools are still operating contrary to the President’s directive that all schools be closed effective Monday, 16th March, 2020

NIB halts school inspection and registration

In accordance with the President of the Republic’s directive for all schools to be closed until further notice as an emergency measure to the COVID-19 pandemic, NIB hereby announces the suspension of school inspections and school registration.
